Current and Past Students

Dominic Dattero Snell

Dominic is a doctoral researcher at Cardiff University working within the Sustainable Transport IDTH on the topic of Decarbonising Transport through Electrification. His previous work has included investigating the effects of EV charging on distribution networks, dynamic wireless charging of EVs and renewable energy systems. Dominic has also worked within government and for the automotive, aerospace and chemical engineering sectors 

Konstantinos Stamatis

Konstantinos currently works within the Sustainable Transport IDTH and has significant expertise in the subject of battery technology and energy storage.

Lucy Maybury

Lucy is a PhD student in the School of Computer Science & Informatics at Cardiff University. She holds a first class honours BSc in mathematics and her research focuses on using mathematical modelling to optimise the conversion to electrical vehicles in the UK’s transportation sector.

Krzysztof Jakubiak

Krzysztof is a PhD student at Cardiff University working on "Accelerated industrial application of electric vehicle charging technologies", currently developing dynamic wireless charging control systems for EV application. Working alongside MOLE. Energy to develop and deliver autonomous charging solutions starting with fleet operators.

Emma Hopkins

  

Emma Hopkins is a part time PhD student at Cardiff University working within the Sustainable Transport IDTH on the topic of Decarbonising Transport through Electrification.  Her research is investigating equity in planning for the electric vehicle charging infrastructure.  Emma has 20 years experience in the public and private sector as an urban planner with a focus on transport and infrastructure planning.
